Wow what another great week we’ve had. We are combining all our listening, speaking and comprehending skills into all our Key Learning Area units. We are into our Relationships unit in Bounce Back as building relationships with unknown staff and students is important.

As part of our PDHPE unit ‘Play it safe’ unit we have continued to look at safety at home and school. We walked around the school looking at where is ‘Out of bounds’ and why its not a safe place to go.

During our Child Protection Unit we again looked at stranger danger and we practiced saying ‘No!’ to unsafe scenarios. Please be proactive and teach your child their full name and address in case they get lost.

Within Creative Arts we’ve utilised our focusing and rememebring skills and listened to sound bites of differing instruments and trialing to name them.

The boys are continuing to enjoy being great role models during our PMP and sport sessions too. We are into our Relationships unit in Bounce Back too.

Of course as usual our Literacy and Numeracy focuses are in the morning and middle session. We are trialing Mathific which is an online Math’s program. The boys are enjoying using our word wall to make sentences. We have also seen a huge improvement in sentences they independently type. We enjoyed researching how caterpillars lay eggs and the life cycle of butterflies and watching a butterfly emerging from a cocoon.
